Clear Aligners:
A Smile Without Compromise

Invisible orthodontics, popularized by systems like Invisalign, rely on the use of custom-made clear aligners. This modern technology is a great alternative to traditional metal braces and wires.

Designed from a 3D digital impression of your jaws, these aligners apply gentle and continuous forces to gradually move your teeth into their ideal position, millimeter by millimeter.

Each set of aligners is unique and corresponds to a specific stage in the evolution of your smile.

Advantages of the Method

Compared to traditional multi-bracket treatments:

  • Aesthetics: The aligners are virtually invisible. No one will notice you are wearing an appliance.
  • Hygiene: Being removable, you take them out to eat and brush your teeth. No risk of dental plaque getting stuck around brackets.
  • Comfort: Smooth and metal-free, they do not irritate your gums or the inside of your cheeks.

Daily life with your aligners: 22h/24, hygiene and meals

A Preserved Daily Life

The treatment adapts to your life, not the other way around. You can continue playing your favorite sports or wind instruments without the discomfort of metal braces.

The Treatment:
Simple & Effective

The success of aligner orthodontics relies on consistency. The method is gentle, but it requires your daily cooperation to be fully effective.

Daily wear

For the teeth to move correctly, the aligners must be worn 22 hours a day. They are only removed for meals, snacks, hot or sugary drinks, and brushing your teeth.

Changing aligners

  • Renewal: You change your set of aligners yourself every 7 to 14 days, according to our recommendations.
  • Gentle pressure: With each new aligner, you will feel a slight tension. This is the normal sign that tooth movement is occurring.
  • Lighter follow-up: Fewer emergency appointments (no poking wires or loose brackets). Check-up visits at the practice take place approximately every 6 to 8 weeks.
Digital Workflow

The 100% Digital Protocol:
Visualize your future smile

No more unpleasant impression paste. Our practice is equipped with a digital intraoral scanner. In just a few minutes, we obtain an exact 3D replica of your dental arches.

These data are then processed by a 3D planning software (the ClinCheck).

The 3D Simulation (ClinCheck)

Before even starting the treatment, we can show you a full simulation of your teeth's movements on a screen.

This allows you to visualize the estimated final result and accurately know the number of aligners needed and the estimated duration of your treatment.

Diagnostic steps

  • Examination: Clinical assessment, X-rays, and 3D optical impression.
  • Planning: Validating the virtual treatment plan (ClinCheck) with you.
  • Launch: Custom manufacturing of all your aligners and placement of "attachments" (small tooth-colored composite dots) to guide movements.

Technology & Indications

Precision & Versatility

Modern clear aligners are capable of treating the vast majority of dental malocclusions, using increasingly high-performance materials.

Technological material

The Material (SmartTrack)

State-of-the-art aligners are made with patented polymers (like SmartTrack for Invisalign). They are designed to be both flexible for comfort and to apply a highly precise constant force for optimal control of tooth movements.

Adults and Teens

For whom?

Invisible orthodontics is suitable for both adults and teens (whose permanent teeth have fully erupted). It can treat cases of crowding (overlapping teeth), spacing (diastemas), open bites, or crossbites.

Timeframes and Commitment

Treatment Duration

The duration varies greatly depending on the complexity of the case. Mild aesthetic corrections can be resolved in 3 to 6 months, while cases requiring comprehensive reorganizations of the occlusion will often take 12 to 18 months.

Regular Monitoring

Contrary to popular belief, aligners require genuine medical monitoring. We check the progress, proper "tracking" (how well the aligner fits the tooth), and perform interproximal reduction (slight polishing between teeth to create space) if necessary.

The Retention Phase

This is the crucial step to sustain your investment and your new smile.

1. Why use retention?

Active treatment ends when your teeth are aligned. However, teeth have "ligament memory" and naturally tend to want to return to their original position, especially in the first few months.

  • Natural instability: Without maintenance, relapse is almost guaranteed.
  • Evolution with age: Even without prior orthodontic treatment, teeth naturally move throughout life.

* Retention is a long-term guarantee; it is the mandatory "end" of any orthodontic treatment.

2. Proposed Solutions

To keep your teeth straight, we implement a strict retention protocol.

  • The bonded wire: A small metal (or fiber) wire is invisibly bonded to the inner surface of the front teeth (from canine to canine). It is left in place for life.
  • Night aligners (Vivera type): In addition to or instead of the wire, thick and rigid aligners are made. They must be worn every night initially, then a few nights a week.

Your role in the success of the treatment

The success of your invisible orthodontic treatment relies on a trusted partnership between you and our practice.

To achieve the smile visualized on the simulation:

  • Diligence: Wearing the aligners 22 hours a day is absolutely essential. Below this, teeth will not move according to the plan.
  • Hygiene: Brush your teeth after every meal before putting your aligners back in to avoid any risk of decay. Clean your aligners with a soft toothbrush and water.
  • Retention: Strictly adhere to wearing your night aligners at the end of the treatment.
